    A Funny Story
    A funny tale is told of an old woman named Anne Hayes who lived in the Kilmannon district.
    She was a very old woman and lived alone with her grandson, who was only a small boy, and whom she was putting to bed on the occasion that this funny incident happened.
    While in the room, adjoining the kitchen, of her small house, putting her little grandson to bed what came softly into the kitchen, but a very large he-goat which was straying about, and on which some of the local youths had played a little trick. They had caught him and painted his horns red, put a veil over his head and face, and then let him off to wander where he liked.
