    My Home District
I live in the townsland of Duncannon which is situated in the parish of Ramsgrange. The parish of Ramsgrange is situated in the barony of Shelburne. Duncannon was called after Conan Maol one of the Fianna. It is called Ramsgrange because a man named Ram owned a sheep ranch there and it was called Ramsgrange ever afterwards. It is called Shelburne because a man named Byrne lived there long ago and therefore it was named after him. There are fifty five families in the townsland.
There are 197 people residing in the townsland of Duncannon.
The most common surname in the townsland of Duncannon is Doyle. Most of the houses are slated. Thee are four thatched houses in Duncannon
