    Duncannon Fort
    The story of Duncannon Fort was told to me by my grandmother
    who is :-

    Duncannon,
    Co. Wexford.
    This is the story. Duncannon Fort is in Duncannon in the parish of Ramsgrange and in the barony of Shelburne and in the County of Wexford. The Fort was built by one of the Fianna named Conan Maol. After a while the Normans saw the fine position of the Fort. Then they took possession of it.
    The English took possession of it during the reign of Queen Elizabeth, and she got the fort fortified. Preston at the head of an army then marched from Kilkenny to attack the English and take the fort. They could not take
