    On the Three Rock we took up head-quarters
    Early next morning about eight o'clock
    Where the British army sallied out their forces
    Our gunsmen gave them an awful shock
    Then we took the town and frank like topers
    We fought the soldiers and cavalry
    Their troops retreated with dread of danger
    They dare not face our artillery
