There was an old woman one time and she was a witch. She went in to a Mother and her daughter. They had a little thatched house and she asked them for something for god's sake. She gave her a cup of tea.This woman had two little fields.
There was a sgeach on the ditch between the two. So the witch said there was a crock of gold under the sgeach.The woman didn't put any seena in her, so she went to the next man's house.She says to him, "did you ever notice a magpie on their sgeach". "You wouldn't mind that," he said. So she told him there was money under the sgeach.He asked her where was the sgeach.The two of them went down.She said to him, "there's a life to be lost".
