- There was a man whose name was Mc Cormac who about 100 years ago owned Moat-a-Ward.
This man saw many strange lights at the fort. He often saw warriors parading with swords in their hands and the whole place was lighted up on many occasions. Music was frequently heard at these times.
There was a very ancient bush in the fort and often a fire was seen beside the bush.
This man (McCormac) fell in love with the bush and one day he dug it up brought it home and planted in his own land.
After this everything went wrong with him and illuck crossed his path in various ways.
