  1. There are four roads leading from Legan village. One goes in the direction of north, one in the direction of east, one in the direction of south, and the other in the direction of south-east.
    The road going in the direction of north is called the Edgeworthstown road. It is a good road. On the right-hand side of it, is the parish church of Legan. About 20 yards on the same side is a road leading to Foxhall house which was formerly the residence of the Foxes. On the same side also is one of the best dance-
