- There were three meals eaten long ago. The breakfast which was stirabout was eaten at eight oclock. Dinner which consisted of potatoes and milk was eaten at one oclock and they had stirabout at seven or eight oclock for their supper. People went out in the morning before they ate anything and often had a meadow of hay cut down before their breakfast.
People drank "bottom" milk and butter milk. There was a table in every house called a "falling table". There was a big iron bar along the wall and there were hooks for keeping up. There is a leg hanging on it and a board up on the top that you push over to keep it up along the wall. It was hung up when not in use. Oaten bread(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
