- Fairies were very numerous some years ago. People are supposed to have seen them. One night a man was coming off his ceilidhe. He heard fairies inside the ditch making shoes.
One time there was a woman milking a cow. A child was crying. She told her to stop. She said she would get lots of milk when the cow would be milked. It was a fairy child. There was a servant girl who milked a cow. Every evening the milk would be spilled. The woman always scolded the girl for spilling the milk. One evening the man of the house watched the girl milk the cow. As soon as she was done milking she was tossed and the gallon of milk was spilled. It was the fairies who tossed the girl and spilled the milk. The man had to give the fairies the cow. One time there was a girl taken away by the fairies. A boy took her back. He saw her dancing in the fort. The boy put her in a room. He was married to her after.
