  1. Nowadays when two people get married they only have a small wedding. Long ago there were crowds of people at weddings. Whiskey and other drink were very cheap then compared to nowadays
    The night of the marriage a crowd of boys dress themselves in old clothes and go to the house of the married couple. They ask for drink and money and if they do not get it they do a lot of mischief. These boys are called "band beggars" because they go in a band. They sing and dance and they have music.
