- Tailors do not travel around nowadays or they do not stock the cloth. There are three tailors in this district. Hugh Creegan, Legga, Paddy Farrell Crott, and Pat Sheils Smear. Some time ago people made their own clothes and had their own material. They had their own flax and they sent it to the mill and got it made into linen and then they made their own clothes out of linen. There were two tailors in this district some time ago. Their names were Grays. They went around from house to house and stopped in the house in which they were working. They made the suits and sewed them with a needle and thread. They had no machine. They did not charge as much for making a suit as the tailors do now. The highest they charged was 10/s per suit and now the tailor charges £1 per suit.
