- There are four fairs in the village of Ballinalee in the year. They are held on the hill of the village. There never are many people at the fairs. Cattle, sheep, and pigs are sold in them.
There is a fair green in the village but it is never used.
Cattle are marked when they are sold. When an animal is sold luck money is given, about shillings for a big animal.
They show their agreement by striking hands.
There are no fairs held at crossroads or farmers houses.
