- At first the flax was pulled. It was put into a boghole then for ten days. After this it was taken out and spread on a field for three days. It was tied then with beetled rushes into sheaves and put into stooks. After this it was beetled to knock the shoves off it. It was then scutched with a scutch and a stock. After this it was woven into thread with a loom and then into linen.
