- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)and some of them were killed. Their remains were taken to the very top of Carn hill and buried in one grave. There were thirty six buried in the grave.
Some time afterwards there was a great heap of stones put over the grave and on the first Sunday of June crowds of people go up on the hill to look at the "Meascán", or heap of stones.
Some of the soldiers by Ballinalee on to Granard and in the meantime some of the soldiers died from hunger and fatigue. The stayed in Granard, Co. Longford for a week and they heard that the English were on their track and so the left(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
