- Between Ballinamuck and Mohill at a place called the Nailers cross roads there lived a Nailer. He used to make nails for boots for both men and women. He used to charge sixpence for a set of nails for a man's pair of boots and four pence for a woman's set he used to count the nails. He used to buy the nail rod in Mohill every week and he used to get 9 or 10 pieces of nail rod 6 ft long and carry it home on his shoulders. That was 6 miles and he used to get some one with a cart to carry a stone of coal that was for making nails. He had a hearth and a bellows(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
