  1. Marriages takes place between Christmas and Lent. The month of May is considered unlucky and the month of June is supposed to be very lucky. Matches are made in this district and money is generally given as a dowry. Sometimes a wedding feast is held in the bride's house. There is a great lot of drink bought for the people that visit the house on that night.
