  2. Once Castleforbes in Longford went on fire. Lord Granard being a Protestant sent for the parson to pray over the fire. The parson prayed for a long time, but the fire kept on spreading. Lord Granard then sent for the priest and he had only prayed for a while when the fire quinched. The Forbes family turned Catholic after that.
