they asked him where he was, he said that he had been getting a nice ride on a horse.
They told an old woman about it. She told them to buy a pair of spurs for him. They bought them for him and put them on his boots. He was not kept out so long that night. So the next night the father went after him, and he could hear a voice saying "Have you the sharp things on you this night." The little boy said that he had, and they never brought him any more.

I heard the story from Owen McCann who lives in Cloonaugh, Drumlish, County Longford, and it is as follows. A man used to go into Fear-glass chapel to sleep at night, because he had no other place of shelter.
On this night he saw a priest who opened the door, and went up the chapel and prepared the altar to say Mass. The priest asked if there was anyone to serve Mass, but there was no answer; so he left all the things aside and went out.
In the morning the man told the parish priest about what happened. The next night the parish priest went along with the man to the chapel. The other priest opened the door again, and went up the chapel and prepared the altar to say Mass again; and he asked again if there was
