  1. Long ago the people had a particular old custom for each festival. On Easter Sunday morning the whole family would get up early and have a pot of potatoes boiled to eat with the eggs. They would start to eat the time the sun would start to rise.
    They always said that if each person ate less than three eggs he would meet with bad luck the coming year. Hallow Eve was always spent playing every kind of trick. One particular trick played was to melt lead and go out-side and put it in through the Key-hole. There would be clay and water inside and if it flowed to the water you would cross the sea and if it flowed to the clay you would die before that time twelve months.
