- There is a fort in Brianstown. It is surrounded by a row of beech trees. There is a large heap of stones in the middle of it, which is supposed to be the grave of some great chief. It is situated on a large hill and it is supposed to be the Danes that built it. There are four rings in it. If any-body cut a bush in it or burned a lime kiln, his cattle would die.
- There is a fairy's fort at the back of our house. It is supposed to be one of the finest forts in Ireland. It is in Clonmore. There are three large rings in it and it has a large grassy centre.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
