    In the name of Our Lord Jesus Crucified. I lay me down to rest. Bless me O Lord defend and govern me after this short and miserable pilgrimage and bring me to everlasting glory Amen. Then fold your arms in the shape of a cross upon your breast and continue "I must die I must die I do not know where, nor when nor how but if I die in mortal sin I am lost forever, Jesus Mercy.
    When you light a light after being in the darkness you should say. May the Lord give us the light and glory of Heaven.
