  1. Old Industries
    Distillery.
    There was an old distillery in the Park (now Lysters). The stores still remain. It was run by Robinsons.
    Brewery.
    The brewery was at Keeley's. The brewer was Keeley, he afterwards went to D'Arcy's, Dublin.
    Candles.
    Candles were manufactured near where Keeleys now are by a family called Dixon.
    Wool.
    Wool for export was bought in Campbell's yard. There was a tan-yard where the present Garda Barracks are.
