- Once in a time a very long time ago there lived on the shore of Glen Lough an old man and his family of five persons, himself his wife and three sons their ages was from (15 to 18 years) but the old man a great miser would attempt anything for money and was constantly praying that he might meet a Lepreachaun on whom he would seize and keep until he would show him where to find his hidden gold but he never got the Lepreachaun but he met a very ugly old woman very early one morning and she told him he would soon be very rich but it proved to be that this old woman was a witch and was in a tent camped on the edge of the lake and a young lady was her companion but on the next Sunday morning the old witch called at the old miser's to buy fish for her mistress of the tent.
