Sufferers from this complaint were advised to take 1 drop of Turpentine on sugar or in water for 9 mornings and the trouble would disappear.
Tape-worms.
Children suffering from Tape-worms were given 2 drops of Turpentine on sugar while fasting every second morning for a week, and their trouble would disappear.
The turpentine would be dropped on the sugar from the rib of a pen, as that is how they measured a drop.
Another cure for Worms in children was the eating of Dulse,a seaweed.
