- The blessed wells n our locality are as following St. Bigseach's. St. Bridgid's and two other which are supposed to be blessed wells but the names of the saints connected with them are not known.St. Bigseach's is situated about two hundred yards from the Ballinacargy road. It is a pure spring well. It is deep and broad and in the shape of a penny. It is under a hawthorn bush and on the bush are countless pieces of cloth. It is the custom that anyone who visits this well puts a piece of cloth on the bush.The people around here have a great faith in this well for a great number have been cured by its water s. It is said that it moved twice because it was ill used. It is said that it was fifty yards the opposite side of the road in a field called Berwich's.
