    potatoes on the rough side of the tin. The potatoes were then mixed with oaten meal, and flour and a little salt added. Then it was left on the griddle to bake.
    Potato Cakes.
    Theese were made of boiled potatoes, that were mixed with flour, a little salt, and some milk. The mixture was then rolled out, and flour sprinkled on it to keep it from sticking. Then it was cut in small squares, and left on the griddle to bake.
    Oaten Bread.
    This bread was also used by the people long ago, It was called "American Oaten Bread" because when the people were emigrating to America they used to bring some with them for the
