    The Brewery Yard
    The brewery yard is situated half-way up Patrick Street on the left-hand side of the street. The brewery was owned first by a man named Prescott, it then passed down to a man named Adams, who lived in Rahonnol Castle, and the two Murrays, Brian and James were the last to own it. It was established in the early part of the nineteenth century.
    A great boiler was used for the brewing of ale and porter. Water was used for making the ale, and it was got from a draw well at the back of the yard. The Brewey
