  1. About fifty years ago there was a very old man living in this district. He went to Mass every Sunday and sometimes on week mornings. Every time he went he put a little pebble in a box. When he was dying he told his sister to count the pebbles and tell him how many Masses he heard but when she went to the box there were only two in it. The next time the priest called to see the man he told him about the stones and the priest told him that he only heard two Masses devoutly.
