is about half a mile from the boundry on the south. There is a river dividing Castletown from Adamstown called Fagans river. Castletown school is mentioned in the poem, The old school by the Stream and the coquering Castletown Geo men. There is no old saying connected with the district.

  2. Garthy is the name of my home district. There are sixteen families in Garthy and about sixty-eight people. All the old houses are thatched and the new houses are slated. There are six people in Garthy over seventy in Garthy and the most of them are able to tell ghost-stories. They are not able to speak Irish. There are eight ruins of houses in Garthy. I do not know how Garthy got its name.
