- In Bernard Manny's field there is a bush called Sam's bush and a man by the name of Sam Robison was murdered there. With stone and rocks he was murdered. It was the custom for years afterwards when a funeral was passing to lay down the corps and say the De Prafundis and take a stone off the road and throw it across the wall before proceeding on the way. Sam Robison was a weaver and he made up a rime about himself. Sam Robison is my name and from Knock and Newtown I came and wove a shirt without a same.

In Gerrad Neill's field Adamstown there is a little Church called Killeen. Killeen was the Irish of a Church long ago and it is the custom to Call it Killeen now. Between Mr Thomas Phelan's and Castletown G, school there is a hill which derives its name from Bt Brigids Church and Churchyard. It is called Cill Breeda now.
