    The shamrock is the National Emblem of Ireland. It is worn by all Catholics on St. Patrick's day at home and in foreign lands. It grows only in Ireland. It is a small green herb with three green leaves Men wear it in their hats or in buttonholes on St Patrick's Day. They do not keep it after the day is over.
    Holy Water
    Holy water is water blessed by the priest on Holy Thursday it is kept in the chapel. People bring bottles of it home. It is shaken around the bed at night and in time of danger it is sprinkled on the people and around the house.
