    The following are the things that a blacksmith makes, horse shoes, harrows, gates, grates, and the following are the things a blacksmith repairs, ploughs, harrows, car wheels, and a lot of other small things.
    Long ago the blacksmiths used to shoe cattle they used to nail on two half-shoes because they have cloven feet

  2. They have a small tank of water near the fire so that if the fire gets too strong they could put some of it on the fire. If any iron is too hot they would dip it in the water to cool it.
    The forge water is supposed to cure warts. If a pig was sick they would give him some of this water to drink and when he would drink it he would be cured.
