- There are many signs pertaining to the weather. It is said that if the swallows fly low it is a sign of rain and if they fly high it is a sign of fine weather. It is also said that if the curlews cry it is a sign of rain.
Another sign tells us if we are going to have hardship. If a robin flies into a house it is a sign of snow and if a cat goes up a tree it is a sign of a storm.
