Ar an leathanach seo

  1. This dye is made from the bark of the poplar tree. The bark is boiled and then the articles are washed in the dye. Some of the women used to wash their hair in it to dye it.
    Another brown dye is made from moss. The moss is boiled till the water becomes brown. Then it is strained. The home spun white stockings were dyed with it this way. They were put into the dye when it was strained and brought to the boil. They were then removed from the dye and hung up without wringing.
