- There are many wild birds in my district. Each bird builds its nest in bushes or house eaves, or holes in the walls, or on tree-tops. Each nest is made of mass, wool, mud and judged by the behaviour of certain birds. It is said when swallows and crows fly low it will rain and when they fly high there will be fine weather. When robins fly around the door there will be a storm. It is said that when pheasants crow that there will be thunder. When curlews cry it is said that it will rain.
