- (continued from previous page)snowstorm. It began with a big wind at about nine o clock in the morning and lasted until twelve oclock that night. There were drifts of snow eight and nine feet high. The roads were impassable for many days and it was very hard to get bread as no one could travel with the snow.
- There was a great storm in the year 1903. There was a wood in Clonyn and there was a number of trees blown down. The roads were lined with trees and no one could travel on them.
