    Mowers.
    Jack Fitzpatrick, Ballinavine, Collinstown used to mow three roods of meadow every day with a scythe.
    Michael Joe Nolan, Glenidan could also mow three roods of meadow with a scythe.
    John Sheridan, Glenidan was also a great mower.
    Dancers etc.
    Edward O'Neill, Drumcree & Michael Mashers Collinstown were great dancers.
    James Lynch, Gortloney was a good singer played the violin.
    Conor Sheridan, Dromore used to work magic and prophecy. If he met you on the road, he could tell you where you were going without asking you.
    James Maguire, Glenidan was a great runner & won many prizes.
    Ned Kelly was a great walker, he used to walk six miles an hour.
    James Eivers, Glenidan, was a
    story-teller, he used to tell ghost stories.
