When the wind blows from Multyfarnham it is a rainy wind.
When you hear the curlew shout rain is nigh. When the robin comes in on the floor cold weather is on the way.
If you get up at four o'clock in the morning and sheep are lying on a hill side the day will be good but if they are feeding it is going to rain. When a cat sits with her back to the fire rain is at hand. When the cattle leave the lowlands and seek the highlands rain is near. When you see a dog eating grass broken weather is near.
When the stars seem to be glittering in the sky we are likely to have frosty weather.
It is said when crows congregate in a pasture field rain will be had.
If a goat stays in shelter all day rain is at hand.- Bailitheoir
