- There used to be a great lot of talk in Ireland long ago about churning, and some people are supposed to have pisthrouges that they could take the butter of another person's churn and put it on their own churn. If you went into a house and they churning you were supposed to say, "God bless the work" and take a bash. That is to move the dash up and down. There were fairy doctors one of them was named Conor Sheridan, he lived about Moilagh the people used to go far and near to get back butter by charms. That was long ago when the people were more ignorant than now.
