    A short distance from the boundary of the Killua Castle gardens is a wishing well locally known as Lucys Well.
    A local tradition in relation to this well is that any one who visits it and takes three sips of water from the sparkling depths with the ladel hanging from the wall, circling the ladel holding the water three times around the head and doing this for three successive weeks, on the same day of the week, and the same hour of each day, while at the same time voicing their wish aloud will of a certainty have that wish granded before the year is out. They who go there to wish must go in secret and must not speak to anyone who they may chance to meet, either going there or on the return journey and must on no account tell another then or at any time of their visits to the well, even
