- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)(2) There is a standing stone situated in the townland of Clogher, Rathkenny. This townland is locally known as the "Sean Caile" (??). It is situated in a field owned by Walter Govern and is about five feet in height and irregular in shape. It is supposed to be deep down in the ground and according to local tradition there is a crock of gold beneath it. The story is also handed down that a life will be lost in trying to get this crock of gold, and that is the reason that no attempt has been made to get it.
