They ivy leaf and the primrose leaf boiled together wold cure a sore on a cow's udder. She can also make a cure for "farsic" which is a disease on horses. I do not know how she makes up the cure but I know some of the herbs she uses. They are bulltrans, lady's five fingers, marrow-roodle, primrose and daisy roots. She can make an ointment for healing cuts and sores from carpenters leaf and rose-mantle and bag bane. Long ago the people used no other medicine or ointment except that made from herbs and a lot of them were relieved.
