  1. On looking round us we see in many cases that the feet are the most illused members of the body. They have to bear our weight, and carry us about perhaps from early morning until late at night. Yet very few of us give them the attention which they need. This is entirely wrong because to keep our feet in a healthy condition is most essential to our general health, even our nerves become affected by them.
    The wearing of boots and shoes dates very far back but it is only in the past fifty years that children have from their earliest years. Before that time the youths never knew what it was to have a pair of boots until they were at least seven years old. Their feet were so hardened by wear and weather, they never minded. In fact such things as bunions were unknown. It was an old belief that to walk in the morning dew barefoot before sunrise was a preventive as well as a cure for such ills.
