Ar an leathanach seo
- The travelling people still call to many houses. Sometimes the same people come but more oftener other people come. They are not poor people that always come.
Most of these travellers come selling small articles which they buy after a great sale in big shops. Many people buy those articles.
Sometimes these people are not welcome. They are hunted away. These people live in tents which they carry about with them. They stay for one or two nights at a time. They accept sugar rabbits skins and bottles. Some of them travel on foot and more on horses and donkeys. Some of them travel in bands and more singly. The family of the McCabes are the travellers who visit our district.
They come around very often but especially on the pattern day. They sometimes tell stories to the people of the house which they visit.
