Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are four graveyards in this parish namely two in Drumconrath, one in Ardagh and one in Drumbride. There is one in Drumconrath that is not in use, that is the old cemetery. There is a protestant church situated in the middle of it. The graveyard in Drumbride is square in shape and the graveyards in Ardagh and Drumconrath are square also. It is not customary for people in this locality to visit a graveyard except on the occasion of a funeral. There are trees growing in all the four graveyards. There are the ruins of an old church in Drumbride graveyard and there are people buried inside the ruins. It was supposed to be the ruins of St Brigid's church. There is a church in Ardagh graveyard also. Ardagh and Drumconrath New Cemetery are situated on the tops of hills. The church in Ardagh graveyard was supposed to be St Patrick's church and the Protestants took it over. Unbaptised children are buried in an unconsecrated
