    When the sun goes down it is the sign of fine weather.

    The wind from the South brings the most rain.
    The wind from the East and North brings the frost.
    The swallow flying high is the sign of good weather, and the swallow flying low is the sign of rain.
    A cat sitting with her back to the fire is the sign of a storm.
    A dog eating grass is the sign of rain.
    When a goat comes from the hills it is the sign of a storm.
    Fog in the hollow is the sign of good weather.
    When you hear a train real plain it is a sign of rain.
