  1. A Story of Moybologue
One day a young girl named Gargan was going fasting to Mass. She met a man on horseback and asked him to hand her a blackberry. He did so and as soon as she ate it she turned into a pig and devoured the man and horse. When St. Patrick heard this he got his bow and arrow and shot it from a fort on the top of the hill now belonging to Mr Patrick Carolan.
It went in four parts:- one went up in the air, another went towards Tierworker, another went towards Carnaville and the fourth towards Finternagh Lake. Where the part touched the ground in Carnaville it made a hole and is called the Giants Grave to this day. When she was disappearing she cursed and said that when a red haired Gargan would cross this stream ninety nine times she would appear again and destroy the land. Up till lately people of the name of Gargan would not cross over this stream under any condition.
