  1. The people of long ago had not the same food as the people of to-day.
    There bread consisted of oaten meal cake. Oaten meal wet with water and baked on a griddle. There are other kinds of bread which I shall now explain.
    "Potato cake" for instance is made of potatoes and flour then there is a cup placed on the potato cake and it cut out little potato cakes.

    Flat Jack was made by my grandfather and other people long ago.
