    tailor by trade. He used to have men working under him. They were called journey men. The people used to bring the material to him to sew and get measured there. Sometimes he used to go to the houses and stay there until he had completed his work. He had no sewing machine as there were no machines out that time. All the sewing would be done by hand.
    Socks and stockings are sometimes knitted in the homes now. The thread is not spun in the homes.
    There are special types of clothes worn according to the day. When a person dies the relatives wear black clothes.
