  1. St Bridget's well is situated about a half a mile south of this school. St Bridget is supposed to have visited it on her way from Tara to Telltown.
    There are marks on the top of the stone like a hand with the fingers spread out and the hollow in the stone is said to be the imprint of her knee as she knelt down to get a drink.
    People say that water taken from this famous well cures vomiting.
    Supposition is that you cannot take home water from this well on Hallow Eve.

    A story is told that one Hallow Eve a young maid from a nearby house came to draw water from the well. On coming back she slipped and fell and spilled the water. She returned to the well and on returning from it with a can of water she
